A: Not weird at all! I keep that same thought in mind when I draw some of my lewd/nsfw art of him.

A: Haha I see the vibes, but Hitomi's face is more baby-like, something like Ano or Kurihara Mayu but male version.

A: As a kid he had plenty of school/neighbourhood friends, then in his teens he was friendly with everyone but never in a clique. From 15–22 he got tunnel vision on his boyfriend & lost touch with people. Now he’s trying to be ‘normal’ again and make new friends. Also he never really had a best friend, people thought he was a little awkward (not in a bad way, just hard to talk to) so when his boyfriend came around he was the first person who talked to him naturally, which made it easier for hitomi to catch feelings 😗.

Q: What does Hitomi do for recreation/fun? Does he like to read, listen to music, etc?
A: He bakes for destressing, for recreation he likes to play videogames on his computer, but he mostly sleeps...

A: He's not really into western music, but he would probably think Talking Heads is interesting!

A: I don’t think he enjoys the process of eating them, so no, he doesn’t have a favorite. If anything, he’s getting tired after the third person… he might look for alternatives 🤔 I won’t say anymore… He probably likes it when it’s easy to eat, he wants it to be over… the sooner the better 😖

A: No 😆 he’s the laziest and whiniest guy when it’s about working out, however if a certain detective who works out a lot kindly pushes him into going out for runs he might do it, who knows!

Q: Why does he feel the need to eat them? Doesn’t he hate it?
A: This is where him being in a foggy state of mind comes into play. His logic was basically: “it worked the first time i did it, so i better stick to it.” It’s also like when you make a mistake, and you know it’s ruining you, but you keep repeating it anyway, partly out of self-hatred, partly bc you’re too fogged or depressed to care. That’s the kind of spiral he was in. Of course, that’s not sane reasoning (and it will never be, this is fiction anyway). That’s also why guilt + regret are huge in his story. He knows that THAT wasn't his brightest moment, and he carries that weight.

A: EarlyEarly 2000s. This is a fairly recent decision so I might need to go back and tweak a few things I’ve already posted to make it make sense 😵‍💫 I’m curious what you saw/read that made you ask this 👀

Part of this decision is practicality, Hitomi can't get away with half as much in a modern setting, cameras are everywhere nowadays and information is far too easy to trace online by anyone, internet sleuths would find him so quickly! The early 00s allow a bit more anonymity :P

It suits the pace of chitomi's relationship too (less instant access=more space for tension+excuses to visit each other hehe), there’s also this nostalgia factor, since I spent my teens in that era and I want to explore and play with that "early internet" atmosphere a little bit

A: not killing and cannibalising his boyfriend lol

A: hehe you have a good eye :3 It's not a glass eye. He got a permanent blown pupil (anisocoria) after getting hit on his eye during one of his killings.

A: This question kept me thinking a lot, I think common sense is the simplest way to put it

A: ThankThank you! I'm not sure if i want to make this a full comic, I dont think i have the skills for that yet but i have some comic ideas for certain parts, I just have to sit down and (learn how to) do it!
When I first decided "I want to make a story for Hitomi" I thought "i'll make a website with writing and art and maybe some other mediums I haven't tried (videos? games? comics?)" and so far I just have a website with scattered, non-chronological chapters + art 😅
Hitomi will be my test subject for whenever I want to try new things. At one point I even considered learning how to use RPG maker/renpy and make a game, so who knows what the future holds!

to answer to your question: he loves his office job, but he doesn't like some aspects of it (admin stuff mostly) but he's the type that feels like playing with toys whenever he's doing his actual coding work c:!
i dont know about coding, don't ask me about details of what he specifically does in his job because my answer will be: i dont know! actually, writing a character that knows a field i'm ignorant about has helped me learn some new things too! haha

A: This question is hard because he doesnt treat all his victims the same way. I don't want to spoil too much but if you're curious about the specifics:
- he never ate a penis
- he doesn't enjoy any part of the process/doesn't feel any thrill about it
- not all victims are 100% eaten

A: easy, he doesn't do all of these at the same time, when he's depressed he's not killing and when he's killing he's not working 😎👍

A: Yes! Whenever I think of this my first answer is "ah, he probably sounds like Mashiro Meme". But there are other voices that I find very ~hitomi-like~ like Kazuya Seto, Ayumu Murase and Amagase Haku. But if he had a voice, he'd be strictly voiced by a man.

A: he’s an only child! Chihara has one older brother 😙

if you mean chihara, they do meet because of hitomi's past+mistakes, but i wouldnt say trauma is the reason for their bond, hitomi feels attracted to him because despite knowing about his grotesque mistakes (aka crimes), Chihara decided to stay, he didnt judge, instead, he decided to protect, bend the rules, break the law and give a new meaning to justice. Who wouldnt fall for that!

Hitomi doesnt care about people's ages and he doesn't pick partners around that number, if that's what you wonder.

He just happens to have fallen for older people twice, but he doesn't seek them for their age (heck, he doesn't seek people at all!)

i have yet to share a chapter that shows how they meet for the first time, it's in my drafts! I'm planning on a new update whenever I feel energised to write again so i can finish it.

A: It’d be too unrealistic to say he can’t grow a beard at all, so let’s say he shaves maybe once every week? when four lonely hairs appear on his chin. He’d love to grow a proper beard though 😔

A: oh i never thought about this hmm 🤔 he speaks japanese natively, that's for sure, maybe he knows a bit of technical english because of his software engineering degree? he's probably not interested in learning a second language, he thinks it'd be useful, but that would be it, he has no desire to expand his language knowledge or anything 😅
